Privacy policy

What we collect

• The start form on our home page: your shop’s web address, your email address, whether you want a free opener or are ready to order, the pack you picked and, if it applies, a note that you qualified for the early-start bonus.
• The brief: your name, email address, shop name and web address, the pack you ordered, your offer, sale dates, products to feature, how you want to sound, any sample email you paste in, your email platform, whether you send texts and anything else you choose to tell us.
• Payments: when you pay, Stripe gives us your name, email address, the amount, the pack and a payment reference. We never see or store your full card number.
• Email: the messages you send us and our replies.
• Your shop’s public website: to write in your voice, we read the public pages of the site you give us, such as product pages, prices and your About page.

What stays on your device

Our pages save a few things in your browser’s local storage so the site works the way you expect: the start of the 72-hour early-start bonus window, what you typed in the start form (so the brief can fill it in for you) and your brief answers as you go. This stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit a form. You can clear it with “Start over” on the brief or by clearing your browser’s site data. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t run analytics or tracking scripts.

How we use it

• To write and send your free opener.
• To take payment, write your pack, deliver it, handle your revision round and issue refunds.
• To reply to your questions and confirm details about your order.
• To keep the business records we’re required to keep, such as payment records for taxes.

We don’t add you to a newsletter or a marketing list, we don’t sell your information and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers to run Friday Drafts. They handle information on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives and stores what you submit through our forms. Like any web host, it also processes technical data such as your IP address to serve pages and block spam.
• Stripe processes payments on its secure checkout page. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers the card details you give it.
• Zoho Mail hosts our email at fridaydrafts.com.
• Google Fonts serves the fonts on this site, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
• AI writing tools. We use AI to draft campaigns, so your brief and the public content of your site are processed by an AI writing service to produce first drafts. A person then edits every draft by hand. We don’t put payment details into these tools.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute about an order.

If we emailed you first

We sometimes write to independent shops to offer a free opener. When we do, we use the business email address published on the shop’s own website, and we write about Friday Drafts only. If you’d rather not hear from us, reply “stop” and we won’t write again. We keep a short note of your address so we don’t contact you by mistake later.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and project emails for as long as we need them to deliver your order and handle any follow-up, and we aim to delete them within 12 months of your last order or message. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Your finished pack is yours; we may keep a copy in our records, but we won’t publish it or name your shop as a client without your permission.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Email luiz@fridaydrafts.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep payment records even after you ask us to delete everything else.

Children

Friday Drafts is a service for businesses. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects an order in progress, we’ll tell you by email.
